Through participation in UAS challenges and test events, iSENSYS has identified a weakness in our industry pertaining to capable unmanned rotary wing platforms. While relevant when properly designed, the multi-rotor UAVs of the drone revolution usually do not provide a realistic representation of what rotary wing aircraft are capable of. We are also currently developing smaller electric and hybrid-powered rotary wing platforms for sensing, ISR, and threat assessments. These platforms have speeds upwards of 120mph, durations exceeding 1 hour, and negative command and control requirements. They provide a unique capability in continued autopilot development.
